In 2013, designer Jake Miller set out to create a beautifully designed coffee-making product. After eight months, countless prototypes, and pre-sales through a Kickstarter campaign that raised nearly $200,000, Jake turned his success into the Fellow brand.
Aesthetics and functionality with Fellow
Since then, Fellow has developed an extensive portfolio of intuitively designed coffee and tea making products for design lovers. Product development is in Fellow's DNA. This means that Fellow is always curious about why products are the way they are and how they can be improved. With the idea of never having to choose between aesthetics and functionality, Fellow wants to help everyone enjoy making coffee.
Fellow Store and Playground for Coffee Lovers
In 2017, the company opened its doors to the Fellow Store + Playground. This interactive space in San Francisco's Mission District allows customers to make their own cup of coffee using Fellow kettles, take a class, or just come together for a chat for a small fee.
STAGG EKG kettle wins the Red Dot Design Award
Five years after the first Kickstarter campaign, Fellow launched its second campaign with the Stagg EKG, which was launched in 2018. This is an electric kettle with variable temperature control, optional Bluetooth app connectivity and an award-winning, minimalist design. The success of the Stagg EKG, which has been featured in well-known American publications, has been enormous since then. In 2018, the Stagg EKG was awarded the Red Dot Design Award, one of the world's most prestigious evaluation processes for design and innovation.
