Hario
The Japanese company Hario was founded in 1921 and was originally a glassware manufacturer that was involved in the design and manufacture of heat-resistant glass. Since the 1960s, the company has focused on the development of products for coffee and tea preparation under Yasuhiro Shibata, the son of the founder Hiromu Shibata. Hario's grinders, makers and serving dishes are now a basic equipment in many cafes and private kitchens.

Hario: Timeless design with high quality
Hario products are impressive due to their easy manual handling, their timeless design and, above all, their good price-performance ratio. The first product in the coffee sector was the siphon. Today, however, the product range extends from the hand filter, which promises even and cleanly extracted filter coffee, to the Buono kettle for the perfect hand feeling when pouring over the coffee grounds, to the Hario French Press pot in the woodneck look. The company's aim is to spread joy during the preparation of the coffee, not just when enjoying the drink. This is reflected in the wonderful handling and the plus point that the products are dishwasher safe.
The use of 100% natural materials
Hario's goal is to use high quality materials and techniques to provide its customers with service and artisanal products of value. Hario uses 100% natural minerals to refine heat-resistant glass. This glass is able to withstand high heat and acids. Hario places great importance on its products being safe to use and environmentally friendly and manufactures in the only heat-resistant glass factory in Japan.
At Hario, environmental friendliness is a top priority
Every day, 20 tons of glass are melted at 1600 °C, meaning that up to 25 products can be produced per minute. The special details of the products, such as glass handles, are carefully made by hand. The company's environmental friendliness is reflected not only in the reusable fabric filters, which are a more durable alternative to conventional paper filters, but also in the type of production, for example. The factory does not work with a chimney, but heats the glass exclusively with electricity.
