Florence and Rome are without doubt the two coffee capitals of Italy. The Mokaflor roastery in Florence was taken over by the Bernini family in the 1930s and has been run in the family tradition ever since. The two brands of the house, Cafe Mokaflor and Cafe Chiaroscuro, are now an integral part of Florence and are increasingly gaining ground in Germany. Similar to the system used by many good roasters, each coffee bean variety is roasted individually in the Mokaflor roastery in Florence. The Mokaflor roastery uses first-class Arabica and Robusta coffee beans from Colombia, Brazil and Guatemala and roasts the coffee slowly in a rotary drum using a traditional house roasting method at an optimal roasting level.

In this way, each bean variety contributes individually to the optimal taste of the coffee blend, one variety for the fullness, others for the aromatics, the perfect acidity, the fruity notes, the body volume or the lasting spiciness and length. Only after roasting and cooling are the varieties combined to create a perfect mixture, also called a blend. This effort is of course significantly higher than for classic and cheap industrial coffee, but the result is the optimal coffee enjoyment.

This Mokaflor Rossa Cafe consists of 60% Arabica, high-quality coffee beans from the growing regions of Central and South America combined with 40% creamy Robusta from India and Indonesia. The aroma of this Mokaflor Rossa is very good, but above all the Mokaflor Rossa 60:40 impresses with its full-bodied body, mild taste and very nice crema formation.
