How to Set Up the Machine:

For an optimal taste experience with the Aromatico 5 STELLE, we recommend the following settings:

1. Turn on the machine (On-Touch button on the machine) and fill the tank with water. Wait for the machine to heat up (approx. one minute).
2. Select grind setting 5 and fill the bean hopper with beans.

To save the ideal grinding and brewing times on the machine, hold down the touch buttons (coffee beans and cups). Once you release them, the desired setting is saved.

For a Single Shot Espresso:

1. Use the smaller filter basket and click it into the portafilter (only one filter basket in the portafilter—remove previous filter basket). Hook the portafilter into the holder and press and hold the button (with one coffee bean) for 12 seconds. The actual grinding time is now set to 7-8 seconds, and you will get 12-13 g of coffee grounds in the portafilter. Now you can tamp the coffee. To do this, press the tamper firmly into the coffee-filled portafilter once.
2. Clamp the portafilter into the Barista Prima. Now press and hold the touch button (with one coffee cup) for 18 seconds.

For a Double Shot Espresso:

1. Hook the clean portafilter into the holder and press and hold the button (with two coffee beans) for 14 seconds. You will get 17-18 g of coffee grounds in the portafilter. Tamp the coffee in the portafilter.
2. Clamp the coffee-filled portafilter into the portafilter machine. Press and hold the button (with two coffee cups) for 16 seconds.

Pro tip: Preheat your cups with hot water. This will make your coffee even more enjoyable!
