Guatemala produces one of the world's best coffees. The absolute top variety, which Vee also uses, is called Potrero. These pure Arabica coffee beans grow in the area around Antigua, the former capital of Guatemala. The combination of altitudes of up to 1,800 m above sea level, regular rainfall and fertile volcanic soil offers ideal growing conditions for this coffee. The alternation of sunny days and cool nights means that the coffee cherries ripen more slowly and refine the characteristic flavor profile. The slightly darker roasting creates a full-bodied coffee with a fine, lively fruity note, as well as spicy aromas and hints of chocolate.
