The Mamma Lucia from Lucaffé is a somewhat unusual coffee blend: It consists of 40% Arabica beans and 60% Robusta beans. The coffee scores with its pleasantly spicy taste and a malty, chocolate-tinged note that comes into its own especially in milk specialties.

A look behind the scenes at the beans

Arabica beans from Central and South America contribute the spicy aroma to Mamma Lucia. The extremely high Robusta content of the small Indian cherry beans creates a solid yet silky-soft crema in a picturesque nougat brown. The aftertaste of the coffee is pleasantly reminiscent of chocolate and malt. The bean blend provides a brilliant base, especially for latte macchiato and cappuccino. The medium roast level brings out the full strength of the coffee wonderfully and gives it an elegant balance.
