At Illy, black stands for the dark roast. The dark original Italian roast of the 100% Arabica coffee beans creates a spirited, strong espresso with a light hint of cocoa, which combines with notes of toasted bread and caramel.

Note: The pads are manufactured according to the ESE standard and fit in corresponding ESE pad machines as well as espresso machines with portafilter and corresponding ESE pad insert. However, they are not suitable for Senseo® machines.
